Due to these tragic events, we have been in constant communication with our suppliers regarding their ability to manufacture and ship products. Our suppliers are now issuing official updates regularly on how they are responding to the crisis. 

Information regarding the damage situation of the Tohoku district – off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake and the influence of the planned outages (The 6th report)- 31.March 2011

Taiyo Yuden group would like to express our sincere condolences for the victims of the Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011.

We hereby would like to inform you about the damage situation related to the earthquake mentioned above.

As for That’s Fukushima Co.,Ltd., in which the building and equipment were partially damaged, has completed the emergency restoration of its building with the recovery of infrastructures such as electricity. The production of CD-R is restarted and DVD-R is also expected to restart its production in early April.

However, the planned electricity power outage scheduled and implemented by Tokyo Electric Power Company and Tohoku Electric Power Company has had continuous effects on the restoration and the ongoing efficiency of our production.

We will be continuously informing you of the details when new information becomes available (As of March 31 12:00 JST)

1. Status of restoration work at ROHM

The following ROHM Group locations are subject to scheduled electric power outages in the East Japan region as of today.

The Impact of 2011 Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake (2nd Report) - March 16, 2011

We do sincerely express our deepest sympathy to all those suffering due to the Earthquake at the Pacific Coast of Tohoku region (Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake) and its aftershocks occurred since the afternoon of March 11, 2011.

We hereby announce our current situation for our operational sites according to the earthquake as follows.

The recovery of production line and facilities at our Hadano headquarter (located at Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture) and Tsukuba fab (located at Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture) has been completed and the operation has been started in sequence.

UPDATE FROM DIODES: Japan's Earthquake and Tsunami

Diodes wishes to extend its thoughts and condolences to the people of Japan and to those affected by the tragic earthquake and tsunami that hit northern Japan on March 11. Diodes does not have any owned or outsourced manufacturing sites in the impacted area in Japan. All critical suppliers have been contacted and we do not presently anticipate any supply issues in the next 60 days. We will continue to work closely with all of our factories and subcontract partners to identify any concerns or impact with raw material suppliers in Japan, and will address these quickly to ensure the continuity of supply to our customers.

We will update as further information becomes available from our supply chain.
